Program Title: An American in China
Our speaker, Nancy Weinstein, is also a member of our club. She will truly fascinate you with her many experiences living and working in China. Named The Ambassador of Design by the Los Angeles Times, Nancy Weinstein is widely recognized as an international interior designer and ground breaking entrepreneur. Living and working in China for 15 years, Nancy founded Nancy’s Lifestyles to present the American lifestyle to Chinese consumers in her 12,000 sq ft showroom in Shanghai with massive success. She also produced and hosted her own TV show called Nancy’s Lifestyles for China TV. Nancy was coined the Martha Stewart of China and has designed many projects, including the interiors of hotels and model homes in China, Turkey, California and projects in Japan, Singapore, and England. She created, designed and directed an International Design House for Easter Seals in Southern California. She also created and designed the first ever American Design House in Shanghai, China. She is a sought after speaker and spoke at Beijing University on The International World of Interior Design. Nancy has also spoken at UC Irvine, Chapman University in California, The Heritage Foundation as well as many business and executive groups across the country. As an early pioneer in China, Nancy, a business woman alone in China, didn’t speak the language and didn’t know anyone in the entire country, will tell us about the difficulties doing business in China, creating and opening her Nancy’s Lifestyles showroom in Shanghai and dealing with her landlord, the Chinese Mafia, who threatened her life. What comes next will shock you.
We will also continue to sell raffle tickets for our $600 “ Shop Till You

Town Square, Pearl earings, drinks and appetizer at Trulucks and a
Head to Toe spa package at Corinthian Spa. $15 each or 3 for $40. We

Charity:
Year round, the ROANOKE FOOD PANTRY does so much to support families in need in our community. Southlake Newcomers Club would like to help the Food Pantry restock their shelves after the recent busy Christmas season. Typically, the Roanoke Food Pantry provides 75 families a month with food but during the Christmas season they help more than twice that average number of families! Let’s help them restock their shelves by supporting them as our SNC charity for January.
Here is a list of items needed by the Food Pantry:
Stove Top Stuffing, Boxed macaroni and cheese, Ramen Noodles, Spaghetti and Canned Spaghetti Sauce, Instant potatoes, Hamburger Helper, Jelly, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Toilet paper, Deodorant, Size 4 and 5 baby diapers.
Please bring your food donations to the January Luncheon. Cash or Check donations are always appreciated! Click here for more details.
To attend the luncheon, everyone must register online by the deadline of midnight on Monday, January 13th. The cost is $24 per person. Cutoff date and time for online registration is midnight on the Monday 8 days before the luncheon.

The cost is then $29 per person for late registrants and can be paid by check or credit card at the luncheon.
Because of our contractual obligations with Trophy Club, once you have registered you must pay for your luncheon, whether you attend or not.
We are sorry, but we are unable to apply a credit toward a future luncheon or event.
