January Luncheon Meeting

11 am - 12:00 pm
Online via Zoom
Register by Friday, January 15 (new registration deadline; RSVP to Susan Schleppegrell); cost is $0
With the surge in Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations, we're going to plan B and meeting virtually to stay safe yet be able to get together and learn something too!
Program: Celebrate Your Closet!
Let's start 2021 with a fabulous speaker who will help you transform your closet into something functional and enjoyable. It’s the perfect time of year to evaluate all your clothing items. Did you wear them in the last few years? Are they too big, too small? Did you retire and don’t really need all those professional work clothes? So many reasons to sort and thin out. Our speaker, Rhonda Schock - a professional organizer, scrapbook guru, legacy maker and digital photo expert - will give us tips on how to have a more organized closet. Door prizes - As part of attending, you'll have a change to win a door prize including a two-hour organizing session with our speaker!
Clothing Drive: We are asking all of you to go through your closet, thin it out and bring 3 or more items that are in good condition to donate to I Can Still Shine that is helping women in need. Since we're not meeting in person, please bring your clothing donations to Deb Langdon and Susan Schleppegrell on
Wednesday, January 20
noon-1pm
Tom Thumb parking lot (corner of White Chapel and Southlake Blvd)
Such a worthy cause and it is a win-win for all of us. So join us and celebrate your closet instead of dreading it while supporting our clothing drive!
Menu: Feel free to have your lunch during the Zoom presentation - Lunch and Learn!
Charity: I Can Still Shine (ICSS) - let's help provide clothing to women in ICSS's program as they prepare to re-enter the job market or return to school and training programs. Also, we'll continue to collect monetary donations for our Southlake Newcomers Club Charity Foundation's scholarship program through March. Please mail checks to Lisa Hill.
To attend the virtual luncheon, please RSVP to Susan Schleppegrell by Friday, January 15th. No cost.
See you on January 19th and bring a friend*!
