Program: "Terrific Texas Trivia"
We will be sharing so many interesting and fun things about this terrific state from many different aspects. Many of us have lived here for a while and many of us have recently moved here - we are going to entertain all of you! We will start the year off with an interactive and fun trivia program that will test your knowledge, as well as enlighten you about all the different regions and cities of Texas. Let's see who knows more about our state! There will be door prizes!!!
Menu: Tortilla soup, fajita chicken salad with chipotle ranch dressing, flan, tea, coffee and water. Cash bar. Signature drink for purchase - House Margarita.
Charity: For the month of September we would like to support the work of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Lauren Pavlasek, a Community Engagement Specialist for CASA of Tarrant County, will be giving a short presentation to our members to discuss volunteer opportunities. When a home is no longer safe, and a child must enter foster care, a judge may appoint a CASA volunteer to guide that child to a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible. In conjunction with her visit, we will be collecting items for CASA. Please help support the important work CASA is doing!!!
CASA is currently in need of the following items:
Infants:
• Pacifiers
• Sippy cups
• Diaper wipes
• Baby toys
• Stuffed animals
Kids 4-10:
• Stress Balls
• Fidget toys
• Uno/cards
Older Kids:
• Gift cards i.e. Forever 21, Starbucks, Target, Walmart, etc.
• Uno/Mad Libs/cards
• Non-perishable foods i.e. trail mix, crackers, etc.
SNC Scholarship Fund
Last year, SNC provided five scholarships to students in our local communities. These students absolutely amazed the scholarship committee. We have a goal of offering five $1000 scholarships in 2022. Please open your hearts and wallets and participate in the SNC Scholarship Fund. You may bring your check (payable to SNCCF) SNC Luncheon or mail it to: Southlake Newcomers Club, P.O. Box 93177, Southlake, TX 76092.
To attend the luncheon, everyone must register online by the deadline of 10 pm on September 13th. The cost is $27 per person.

*GUEST REGISTRATIONS - If you want to bring a guest, please contact Dianne Duke to register her. The cost will be the same as members, $27.

NOTE: MEMBERS WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER LATE UNLESS THERE IS A VACANCY THE DAY BEFORE THE LUNCHEON (you would be contacted at that time). The cost is then $32 per person for late registrants and can be paid by check or credit card at the luncheon/dinner. If you would like to be contacted if there is an opening the day before the luncheon please contact our Hospitality Registration Member - Dianne Duke.
Because of our contractual obligations with Trophy Club, once you have registered you must pay for your luncheon/dinner, whether you attend or not. We are sorry, but we are unable to apply a credit toward a future luncheon or event.
